Easy Camel and Ego Eradicator Poses
Easy Camel Pose
Easy Camel is an introductory version of Camel Pose. As students advance and are ready to explore, have them move on to the next step!
Steps
- Begin on your knees, with the tops of your feet resting on the floor.
- Place your hands on your back, fingers pointed down.
- Lift your and gaze up. Allow your back to naturally arch back.
- Hold this pose for a couple of breaths.
- Use your muscles to bring yourself back to upright, then rest on your heels.
Ego Eradicator Pose
Ego Eradicator opens the lungs, consolidates the magnetic field, and brings the brain hemispheres to a state of alertness. This will reduce concerns about how you look to others and refocus your energy on harnessing your inner-resilience, your sense of calm, so you face your challenge with quiet confidence and trust in you, despite your natural nerves.
Steps
- Posture: This exercise can be done in Easy Pose or Rock Pose. Raise the arms up to a 60-degree angle.
- Keep the elbows straight and the shoulders down.
- Apply Neck Lock. Curl the fingertips on to the pads of the palms at the base of the fingers.
- Thumbs are stretched back, pointing towards each other.
