When I heard the news about prominent Bollywood actor Sushan Singh Tajput committed suicide at a very young age of 34 it was shocking because he had such a successful career. It got me to think about how peace of mind is not a luxury.
3 Things You can do daily to achieve Peace of Mind
Protect your energy and Your Bubble
Take a look at the environment and people that you hang out with or the things you do that drain your energy. Ask yourself how much time and energy you’re investing there. Sometimes, it’s going to be things that are hard to change.
I’ve had to let go of some friends and distance myself from certain family members. It doesn’t mean I don’t care for them, but I don’t give them as much attention as I would other people that raise my vibrational energy. See how you’re giving out your energy throughout the day.
Do Not Control Things That Are Out of Your Control
This is one of the things I struggled with during this corona period. Supply chain got completely messed up when everything happened. I tried to control it and said we got to push through. Eventually, it got to the point where I was stressing myself out. When I realized that I was forcing things that I couldn’t control, I let it go. That gave me so much peace of mind that I needed.
Maybe it’s trying to change and control people. The only person you can change is you. If you want to change others, be an example of change. Be aware of this because this can cause stress and affect your peace of mind.
Remain Grounded in the Present Moment
Currently, there are so many things that get us off track; notifications on our phones, emails, phone calls DMs. How much of that gets us detracted from the present moment? How much of that is helpful.
Just like we have reminders set up on our calendars, throughout the day set 2-minute reminders to ground yourself in the present moment. In these reminders, take a deep breath and let it out. Notice what’s in the present moment. Take a mindfulness walk where you really take a look at the trees, smell the environment.
“The past has no power over the present moment.”
